Here are some tips to make it easier for you to contact applicants.

1) Adding comments to applications

When viewing someone's application you can scroll down to the comments section. Here you will see a button to add a new comment:

After clicking 'Add comment' you can select the visibility of your comment, type the comment and save it:

The 3 levels of visibility should be self-explanatory.

After saving your comment it will be seen in the comments section of the application. Depending on the visibility setting you chose the applicant may or may not be able to view it:

2) Emailing applicants

You can also send emails to applicants, either in bulk or on an individual basis. To do this please follow these steps.ย

**Bear in mind that if you email people from Eventree, if you wish for them to reply, you will need to include a reply-to address, as currently the emails come from a no-reply email address**

Filter to one application type. You can't bulk email applicants who are applying for different roles, so you'll have to email each group separately.

Tick the checkbox next to each applicant that you'd like to email. To email just one applicant you would only tick one of them.

Click the 'Email selected' box above the list of applicants. This will open a panel where you can compose an email. Remember that the same email will be sent to each applicant you selected.

If you want to customise the email to each applicant you can use 'Placeholders' to insert information specific to each person. Click on the 'Placeholders' link to see a list of placeholders which are available to use.

The standard list is as follows:

In addition to this you can use any question in the specified application form as a placeholder. For example, here are the question placeholders from my example above:
โ€‹

Copy and paste any placeholders you wish to use in exactly the way they are presented in this page. For example, the firstname placeholder must be exactly like this:

{FIRSTNAME}

Here is an example of a completed email with placeholders:

Here is the resulting email:

You can see how the placeholders were replaced with information specific to the application when it was sent.
