What is eventree?

Eventree is a software system, like a large online spreadsheet, that allows you to collect data for all the attendees coming to your event to work, volunteer or perform. It’s very helpful in that you don’t need to collect all the data yourself, instead sending links for people to fill in details for their own groups.

Eventree's online forms are brilliantly versatile for gathering all sorts of requirements, documentation and if you like, payments too.

Some events have someone who looks after a particular section, or Area of the event e.g. a volunteer or trader manager, so it makes sense to allow that person to manage the people within that area (they won’t be able to see the rest of the system). Some events have one or two people who do all the organising themselves.

Once you have people in the system, you can communicate easily with everyone, set up email templates and upload documents to ensure everyone gets the information they need. It also means you can see who has been contacted, so if your manager is off sick, you can see who is in the system and who still needs chasing.

If you want to give your workers passes to present on arrival for quick, easy and secure accreditation on site, it’s easy to send those and the system will show you who has received their passes and any bounced emails where the pass won’t have been received.

Other Eventree modules include forms (public applications for people to apply to work or volunteer for you or private forms to gather requirements), document management, site safety inductions, meals management (if you feed your workers), budgeting (if you want to see where your money is going), and resources (if you want your team to book items from a 'shopping list').

Why can't you just do all this on a spreadsheet? See here.
