An Ambassadors Scheme is a way of getting festival go-ers to sell tickets to your event, to their mates, in return for rewards or in exchange for a free ticket for themself.
There are many schemes that go by various names, but the basics are that you provide your Ambassadors with a number of tickets to sell, and different rewards based on how many they shift.
Rewards could be free merch, fast track lane entry, a free drink at the bar, or ultimately their own free ticket.
Why should I run an Ambassador Scheme? How does it work?
The benefits of Ambassador schemes have been proven over the last few years, as peer-power remains top of the list of why people may attend an event.
Rewarding loyal customers for being that person who rallies the troops, using their social media and persuasive skills to encourage friends that your event is the one to attend, is a cost-effective way of maximising ticket sales.
Downsides to a scheme are that they can be expensive to administer, time-consuming and result in having to transfer data from one system to another.
Eventree combats these by using an online form to gather details from potential Ambassadors, who can be brought into your database at the click of a button. Paid-for tickets can be freely issued to each Ambassador who then enters in the name + email of each friend who wants to purchase a ticket. The Ambassador then uses Eventree to send out payment links individually or in bulk.
When the recipient has paid for the ticket, the sale registers against the Ambassador. Your final task as the scheme administrator is to occasionally monitor progress and reward Ambassadors with sufficient sales with a free ticket or perhaps merchandise or drinks to consume at the event.
The system is low cost, low maintenance and highly effective and if you’re using Eventree or TheTicketSellers already, means you’re working within your existing login credentials.
