Stripe integration in Eventree can be used to collect payments via Forms or via paid-for passes.
As both forms of payment collection can exist at the same time, it is essential to be able to trace payments in Stripe back to their origin.
There are a few easy ways to track payment references.
Tracing form payments
Individual submitted form:
Under Applications received, when you View a form.
On the right, under Applicant Details you will see Stripe payment ref. This can be clicked and will take you through to the corresponding payment record in Stripe.
Exporting forms and their stripe references
When you export submitted forms via Applications received > Export to excel, at the bottom of the list of fields you will see Stripe payment ref. Select this box and then in your exported file you will see a list of all the relevant payment references.
Seeing form payments in Stripe
Within Stripe if you wish to trace payments back to their relevant source in Eventree, you can also do so.
The following information is stored in Stripe for payments made via a form.
-Applicant ID
-Form submission ID (App ID)
-Form Type ID
-Form Type Name
-Payment Type : either form, or pass
Tracing pass payments
Individual pass payment
When an individual pass is paid for you can see the log of when the payment was received, in the event log. See here the payment reference.
Exporting and reporting
At event level and in any Area with paid passes you can view the Paid-for passes report.
With this report you can dig into each section and track down payments as well.
The Payment ref is clickable here too and will redirect you to the correlating transaction in Stripe.
Seeing pass payments in Stripe
If you wish to trace pass payments in Stripe back to their source you can do this too.
On the individual transaction you will see the Individual ID which you can search for in Eventree. You will also see that it is a pass payment. You can also search in Eventree using the email address used for the Stripe payment.
Exporting all payments from Stripe
In Stripe, go to Transactions > Export
Select 'All columns' in the export pop up.
When you export all the payments together you can now clearly see which payment refers to which source, by viewing the columns:
If it's a pass payment:
Individual ID
Payment type: pass
If it's a form payment:
Form submission ID
Payment type: form
Form Type ID
Form Type Name
