When setting up your induction, you need to add some content. The content is the health and safety information that you provide for your crew, which they are required to read and understand before going on site at your event.
The content can either be added by copying and pasting, or typing into the Content field, or if you have some pre-existing content such as a pdf or video you wish you use, you can also embed it. If you wish, you can have both Content from the content box and embedded content.
Whichever way you add content, it will always appear above the multiple choice questions which you create. If you also use induction data capture, then your data capture questions will always appear first.
How do I embed content?
To embed, you will need a link to the content you wish to embed.
This could be:
A pdf containing the content
A video hosted online
A pre-made website page specifically to host content
Whatever you use, you will need to have the content available via a link.
Embedding a pdf file hosted on Google Drive
The most commonly embedded content is a pdf. You will first need to upload the file to somewhere which creates a publicly available link to the file, such as Gdrive.
Once uploaded to Gdrive, ensure the file is viewable to anyone who has access to the link.
Then, select the 3 dots, select Embed item.
If you do not have this option, then first try clicking the 3 dots, and then 'open in new window'.
β
Once opened in a new window, select the 3 dots once more and now select Embed item.
Then, just copy the link shown within the 'Embed item' pop up.
Return to your Induction, click Edit.
Then paste the link into the Embed Link field.
Remember to save your changes.
To check that your content is displaying as intended, you can then Preview.
The embedded content will appear in the same place that the other Content would have been displayed - above your multiple choice questions.
If you have induction data capture set up, then the data capture questions will appear before the content & multiple choice questions page.
